MyDefence and HighCom Secures A$9.81m Contract with Australian Department of Defence

Australia, 28th April 2026 – MyDefence A/S today announces that, in partnership with HighCom Limited (ASX: HCL) and its subsidiary HighCom Technology, it has secured a Counter Small Uncrewed Aerial System (C-UAS) contract with the Australian Department of Defence (ADF).

The contract, valued at A$9.81 million (incl. GST), follows an evaluation programme conducted by the Australian Defence Force and marks a significant step in the deployment of operational counter-drone capabilities.

Under the agreement, MyDefence will deliver advanced C-UAS technology, with HighCom Technology responsible for delivery and support services.

Strengthening presence in Australia and the Indo-Pacific

Building on this contract, MyDefence will accelerate its strategic focus on Australia and the broader Indo-Pacific region. The company plans to deepen its local engagement through closer collaboration with HighCom and end-users. It will strengthen sovereign in-country support capabilities and targeted local investment aligned with the evolving operational needs of the ADF and regional defence forces.

Australia is a key strategic market for MyDefence, with strong long-term potential driven by ongoing defence modernisation and the rapid evolution of drone threats and counter-UAS requirements, while contributing to Australian industry capability and skilled job creation.

“Drones are fundamentally reshaping modern conflict, as seen in Ukraine and across the Middle East, where access to airspace is increasingly contested. Armed forces are adapting rapidly, and counter-UAS capabilities have become mission-critical. Said Dan Hermansen, CEO, MyDefence

The selection by the Australian Defence Force validates the performance and operational relevance of our solutions following extensive testing and evaluation. This contract is not only an important delivery milestone, it represents a strategic step in our long-term commitment to Australia and the Indo-Pacific region.”

Bede Galvin, Acting President, HighCom Technology, commented:

“This contract represents an important milestone for HighCom Technology and reinforces our role as a trusted partner to the Australian Defence Force. In collaboration with MyDefence, we are delivering a capability that meets Defence’s operational requirements while strengthening sovereign integration and support capabilities in Australia. We are proud to support Defence with proven, operationally relevant solutions and look forward to supporting the Australian Defence Force moving forward.”

Delivery of the systems will be completed by the end of June 2026.
