MyDefence counter-drone systems selected by New Zealand Defence Force

New contract strengthens MyDefence’s growing presence in the Indo-Pacific region and follows recent deliveries of counter-UAS capabilities to the Australian Defence Force.

Denmark – MyDefence today announced that its counter-unmanned aerial systems (C-UAS) have been selected for delivery to the New Zealand Defence Force (NZDF) through its regional partner HighCom Technology.

HighCom Technology, a wholly owned subsidiary of HighCom Limited (ASX: HCL), has signed a NZ$1.96 million contract with the New Zealand Defence Force covering the supply of MyDefence counter-drone systems, spares and training support. Delivery is expected during FY27.

The agreement marks another step in MyDefence’s Indo-Pacific growth, following the recent selection by the Australian Defence Force.

“Following our recent success in Australia, we are proud to see MyDefence technology now selected to support the New Zealand Defence Force. It is another strong validation of our approach to delivering operationally proven, deployable counter-drone capabilities and an important step in expanding our presence across the Indo-Pacific region together with strong local partners.” said Dan Hermansen, CEO of MyDefence.

HighCom Technology will provide regional supply, integration, commissioning, training and ongoing support for the capability.

The New Zealand agreement builds on the collaboration between MyDefence and HighCom in Australia and New Zealand and reflects growing regional demand for flexible counter-UAS capabilities capable of protecting soldiers, platforms and critical assets against increasingly complex drone threats.
