General John M. Murray (Ret.), Former Commander of Army Futures Command, joins MyDefence North America’s Board of Advisors.

MyDefence North America has appointed retired Four-Star General John “Mike” Murray, former Commanding General of U.S. Army Futures Command, to its Board of Advisors.

The appointment strengthens MyDefence North America’s ability to develop counter-UAS solutions that reflect the realities of military operations, capability adoption, and mission execution.

GEN Murray brings more than three decades of U.S. Army leadership experience, including senior roles focused on modernization, capability development, resourcing, and operational readiness. As the first Commanding General of Army Futures Command, he helped lead the Army’s work to align future capabilities with operational requirements.

His advisory role will support MyDefence North America in maintaining a close connection between technology development and the needs of the warfighter from usability and integration to deployment, scalability, and mission relevance.

“We are honored to welcome General Murray to MyDefence North America,” said Bill Ostrowski, CEO of MyDefence North America. “His experience in Army modernization, operational requirements, and defense strategy will help ensure our solutions remain aligned with how U.S. defense customers evaluate, adopt, and deploy critical capabilities.”

GEN Murray’s career includes service as Commanding General of U.S. Army Futures Command, Army Deputy Chief of Staff, G-8, and Commanding General of the 3rd Infantry Division during Operations Enduring Freedom and Resolute Support. Across these roles, he worked at the intersection of strategy, requirements, resources, and operational execution.

For MyDefence North America, his appointment adds senior-level insight into how defense organizations move from identifying a capability need to fielding technology that works in operational environments.

“I am thrilled to join the MyDefence team and support their work with U.S. defense customers,” said GEN Murray. “As joint and combined arms multi-domain operations continue to evolve, the ability to identify, insert, and scale effective technologies quickly will be critical. MyDefence North America’s commitment to delivering practical, operationally relevant solutions is the primary reason I am honored to join the team.”

With GEN Murray joining its Board of Advisors, MyDefence North America reinforces its focus on delivering counter-UAS capabilities shaped by operational experience, defense modernization insight, and the requirements of the U.S. defense market.
