When I think back to 2009, when the idea of MyDefence began, many important events have shaped us into who we are today: global leaders in soldier-borne Counter-Unmanned Aerial Systems (C-UAS), driving innovation with a soldier-first ethos.

Our story began with a life-changing conversation between my co-founder and former CEO, Christian Steinø, and a soldier who had returned home injured from war. A conversation that was more than a moment of reflection – it became the catalyst for our mission. The soldier’s experience highlighted an undeniable need for better tools, stronger protection, and a deeper understanding of the challenges faced on the frontlines with wireless-controlled threats like IEDs (Improvised Explosive Devices) and UAS.

The idea of MyDefence rose from a time when IEDs were a significant threat in warfare. As warfare evolved, so did we at MyDefence, shifting our focus from countering IEDs to addressing the challenges posed by UAS, which when armed with explosives can be considered a flying IED. From that moment on, protecting those who risk their lives for others on the frontline became not just an aspiration but our mission. In 2013, we finalized defining the basics of the technology for detecting and jamming wireless signals, started development together with the Danish Defence, and created a technology that remains the core of our C-UAS solutions today.

At MyDefence, we continue developing and always strive to be at the forefront by delivering next-generation drone detection and jamming solutions faster, merging advanced radio frequency expertise with precision and rapid response capabilities. Through close collaboration with frontline forces, we gain invaluable real-time feedback on emerging drone threats and tactics, enabling us to innovate with precision.

Our systems are designed to support both military operations and critical infrastructure, including airports, corporate facilities, and other high-security environments. They enable end-users to detect and neutralize threats while improving mobility and operational effectiveness. With technological innovation at the core of our mission, we stay ahead of the curve by closely monitoring the latest developments on the battlefield, ensuring our solutions remain one step ahead of emerging challenges.
