in modern warfare
This landmark procurement framework agreement was signed between COBBS BELUX, a company dedicated to marketing and distributing defense and military technology to NATO forces, and the NSPA. This agreement—the first of its kind in NATO’s 75-year history—authorizes COBBS BELUX to supply selected MyDefence products to NATO members over the next three years, with an option for renewal.
COBBS BELUX and the NSPA have specifically selected MyDefence’s Wingman drone detectors as part of this framework, underscoring the high demand for effective counter-drone solutions across NATO forces.
Drone technology’s rapid advancement has transformed modern warfare, as illustrated by recent intelligence. According to a 2023 report, over 3,500 FPV drone operators have been trained by Russia’s Ministry of Defense, with an additional 1,700 operators currently undergoing training. It is estimated that Russia produces tens of thousands of FPV drones monthly, further underscoring the growing use of UAVs in combat. In light of this surge, effective counter-drone technology has become crucial.
The new procurement framework will enable NATO members to acquire MyDefence’s advanced radio-frequency technology, helping military forces detect and counter UAVs in active conflict zones.
This agreement solidifies MyDefence’s status as a critical supplier to NATO, marking a new chapter in the company’s contributions to NATO’s defensive capabilities.
