MyDefence Leverages “Made in USA” Model to Support Taiwan’s Drone Defence

Nicolai Laugesen, CRO of MyDefence, said Taiwanese firms are already part of global supply chains for drone-related technologies, and that further collaboration with governments and defense sectors would be beneficial.

Taipei, April 29, 2026 – As Taiwan faces growing pressure in one of the world’s most closely watched security environments, MyDefence, a European counter-drone technology company whose systems have been selected as Soldier Common Equipment for U.S. soldiers, is strengthening its focus on Taiwan and the fast-evolving threat posed by drones.

Recent conflicts have shown how small, inexpensive drones can be used at scale against military forces and critical infrastructure. MyDefence specializes in radiofrequency detection and mitigation, enabling early warning, drone identification, operator location, and disruption before a drone reaches its target.

During a recent roundtable discussion, MyDefence shared its experience in transferring core technologies to “Made in USA” production lines. The company highlighted how combining technology transfer with local production can shorten supply chains, improve resilience, and increase the adaptability of defence products.

MyDefence sees strong potential to bring this model to Taiwan. By working closely with local supply chain partners, the company aims to support Taiwan in building a competitive and more autonomous drone defence ecosystem, strengthening both localized technology capabilities and broader industrial development.

“Taiwan needs counter-drone capabilities that can scale quickly and adapt as the threat changes,” said Dan Hermansen, CEO, MyDefence. “Our experience from establishing full-scale production in both the United States and Denmark shows that local production and technology transfer can reduce dependence on long supply chains, enable faster testing and upgrades, and support stronger national resilience.”

MyDefence already has full-scale production in the United States and Denmark, an innovation hub in Ukraine, and offices in Singapore, the United Kingdom, the United States, and Denmark. Its systems are deployed with leading defence forces worldwide, including as Soldier Common Equipment for U.S. soldiers, and with the Australian Department of Defence, and have been selected by several NATO countries.
