The Watchdog 150 and Watchdog 250 are compact, rugged, RF-based vehicle drone detectors, specifically designed to serve as core components in MyDefence’s vehicle-mounted counter-UAS systems. Designed for mobile missions, these low SWaP (Size, Weight, and Power) devices are easily mountable and can be integrated across various platforms. While the Watchdog 150 provides comprehensive omnidirectional detection at lower frequencies, the Watchdog 250 offers precise 90-degree coverage at higher frequencies. As a result, when used together, they deliver flexible, high-performance drone detection. Moreover, both devices integrate seamlessly with different situational awareness systems, including MyDefence’s IRIS software. Additionally, they can be easily incorporated into other Battle Management (BMS) systems, ensuring robust situational awareness and enhanced operational efficiency.

- Covers 433MHz, 868MHz, 915MHz, 1.2GHz frequency bands
- Contains GPS and compass for independent vehicle position and orientation.
- Optimized for dynamic, on-the-move operations.
- Watchdog 250:
- Directional detection with 90° horizontal/vertical coverage.
- Detection range: Up to 9 km (6 miles).
- 5° RMS direction-finding accuracy for precise targeting.
- Covers 2.4, 5.2 & 5.8 GHz frequency bands
- Optimized for dynamic, on-the-move operations.
Both sensors are ruggedized to military standards (MIL-STD-810G and MIL-STD-461F) and perform reliably in harsh conditions (-40°C to 60°C / -40°F to 140°F). An IP68 rating ensures full protection against water and dust ingress.
