MyDefence Strengthens UK–EU Defence Bridge with New Counter-Drone Hub
MyDefence is pleased to announce the formal establishment of its United Kingdom hub, marking a significant milestone in reinforcing the defence partnership between the United Kingdom and the European Union.
Through its new base in the United Kingdom, MyDefence will provide British defence stakeholders with direct access to innovative Counter-Uncrewed Aerial Systems technology and comprehensive operational expertise – capabilities that have been rigorously tested and deployed alongside allied forces in Ukraine, the United States, Australia, and other partner nations. Our flexible platforms, available in both wearable, vehicle-mounted and fixed configurations, enable military and security personnel to swiftly detect, monitor, and neutralise hostile drones in complex operational environments.
This strategic investment underscores MyDefence’s commitment to strengthening United Kingdom–European Union defence ties, advancing trusted European technological solutions, and broadening cooperation with Nordic defence initiatives. All MyDefence systems are fully interoperable with the North Atlantic Treaty Organisation and are designed to support the United Kingdom Government’s Strategic Defence Review, ensuring British forces receive immediate, field-ready capabilities to address emerging threats.
To lead programs and customer engagement in the United Kingdom, MyDefence has appointed former British Army officer, Liam Hutcheson. Liam’s extensive experience in capability procurement and defence logistics will be invaluable in delivering MyDefence’s proven solutions promptly and efficiently for North Atlantic Treaty Organisation operations.

“Drones have transformed modern conflict, and the requirement for the UK to strengthen its C-UAS capability is clear.”
Liam adds. “It is a really exciting time for UK MOD; the momentum from the Strategic Defence Review and the anticipation of the Defence Investment Plan means the timing is perfect for MyDefence to enter the UK market. MyDefence has demonstrated that it can field proven systems at speed on NATO operations – a capability I am enormously proud to bring to the UK.”– Liam Hutcheson, UK Programme Director
By establishing a dedicated presence in the United Kingdom, the company reaffirms its commitment to supporting British defence and industry, while providing advanced Counter-Uncrewed Aerial Systems technology to safeguard national security against both current and future drone challenges.
