MyDefence Establishes Singapore Hub to Support Asia-Pacific Counter-Drone Operations

February 3rd – European counter-drone company MyDefence is expanding its Asia-Pacific operations with the establishment of a presence in Singapore. The city-state will serve as a focal point for the company’s regional activities as interest in its counterdrone technologies continues to grow.

Singapore’s highly urbanized landscape and strategic location make it an ideal testbed for Asia-Pacific security scenarios. Its strong focus on high-tech infrastructure and smart-city solutions creates a demanding operational environment, where counterdrone systems must perform reliably in complex urban settings and challenging climatic conditions.

MyDefence’s systems are developed and manufactured in Europe for worldwide deliveries and in the United States for U.S. customers and have been shaped by operational feedback from active conflict environments, including Ukraine. They have also been fielded by the U.S. Army, providing a high level of operational validation sought by Asia-Pacific defence customers evaluating counter-UAS solutions.

“Singapore represents one of the most technically demanding environments for counter-drone operations. Our systems are already in operational use locally and across the region. Expanding our presence here ensures we can support customers in local time zones, while continuing to advance our capabilities in close cooperation with partners and end-users.”

Dan Hermansen, CEO of MyDefence A/S

The expansion strengthens MyDefence’s global footprint alongside its European headquarters and U.S. operations, reflecting the company’s development model of advancing systems through close collaboration with operational users. Drawing on technological expertise from Scandinavia and product deployment with customers such as the U.S., German, and Australian Armed Forces, MyDefence focuses on full-lifecycle integration, covering installation, data handling, and operational use from development through deployment and beyond.

The expansion will be implemented in phases, with local facilities and regional support capabilities to be established in the near term, supporting MyDefence’s long-term engagement across Southeast Asia and the wider Indo-Pacific.
